Tim Wispinski- President
Tim has worked in the beverage alcohol industry since 1996. Before founding The Wine List, he was BC District Manager for over 12 years with a wine agency that represented BC wine brands as well as import wines. Prior to this, he had worked as a territory manager for other companies selling wine, beer and spirits. As a sales representative, Tim is proud to say he has, at one time or another, worked in every area of BC. Tim is WSET Level 3 Advanced Certified.
Hannah Santillan - Office and Administration Manager
Hannah has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Victoria and worked in hotel management after graduation. She has also held roles in Marketing and Technical Support for technology companies such as Squirrel Systems. Her most recent role was with the Burnaby School District as an Student Information Systems Operator, so Hannah is skilled with managing data and computer software systems. She has a keen interest in wine and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge in this area.
Rod Archibald - Alberta Territory Manager
Rod is a beverage alcohol industry veteran with experience in both BC and Alberta in general sales, key accounts, as well as provincial and regional management. The companies Rod has worked for include Authentic Wines and Spirits Merchants, Diamond Estates, Peller Estates (Grady Wine marketing), and others including selling Wild Goose for Termes Wine Agency back near the beginning of Rod’s career.
Dick Doorman - Territory Manager
Vancouver Downtown, Burnaby, New Westminster, Richmond, North Delta, and North Surrey
Born and raised in BC, Dick started his working career playing semi-pro hockey in Europe but came back to BC to work for his family’s wine and spirit agency and now has been selling wine, beer and spirits in BC for over 25 years. He has excellent wine knowledge having taken many courses in addition to working with many prominent wine brands. Dick thoroughly enjoys all sales aspects of the wine business and brings his longevity in this business to The Drinks List team with utmost enthusiasm.
Sandy Hamilton- Territory Manager
Kitsilano, Vancouver South, Crosstown, Gastown, Whistler/Sea to Sky area, Sunshine Coast
Sandy earned his Sommelier Diploma with the International Sommelier Guild and has extensive experience in managing and buying wine for on premise accounts including Joe Fortes, Salt Tasting Room, and The Cannery. Sandy won the Vancouver Sommelier challenge in 2010. His most recent work experience has been as a wine buyer and manager with the wine-in-grocery stores owned by The Overwaitea Food Group. His experience in retail and on premise helps him understand the needs of all of his customers.
Simon Cavan Taylor - Territory Manager
North Shore, Maple Ridge, Mission, South Delta, Tsawwassen, South Surrey, White Rock, Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack.
Simon has completed his WSET Level 3 with Distinction, but his passion for wine, spirits, and beer has driven him to go far beyond the WSET level in product knowledge. Simon started his career as a wine consultant in the Fraser Valley working with a private liquor store. He has worked as a sales rep in his territory for many years and he has established relationships with the buyers in this area.
Kyle Murphy - Territory Manager
Vancouver Island, BC
Kyle is based in Victoria, BC and handles all sales issues on Vancouver Island. Kyle has many years of experience working in retail liquor stores in Victoria for the Spinnakers Group starting back in 2006. Since then, he has been a top sales person and held leadership roles with a few companies including Shaw and MicroServe Technologies. Kyle's strength lies in his ability to combine his sales expertise with his keen interest in wine and spirits.
Shad Goulet - Territory Manager
BC North and Interior
Shad studied Business Administration and Marketing at Red Deer College in Alberta before moving to Kelowna in 2011. Prior to joining The Wine List, Shad worked in sales for Constellation Brands in the same territory he is in now, so he understands the market conditions and the various channel segments. He knows the managers, buyers, and staff in our accounts. Shad has exceptional communication skills, but also a strong work ethic and ability to multi task.
